Movie Review: Something Borrowed
Yeah I do it all. Anyway, I was watching "Something Borrowed" last night on my laptop and this movie has got to be the biggest pile of bird poo.
(Spoiler alert). It was about 2 best girl friends, one was the boring brunette lawyer Rachel and the other was the fun vibrant blonde, Darcy (because pretty people don't have pretty best friends?). Rachel introduced Darcy to this hot guy Dex but Rachel secretly loved Dex
Bottom line, Rachel carried on an affair with Dex because he said he loved her. (Its not looking too good for you guys). So at the end of the movie, Dex called off the wedding, Darcy cheated and found out Dex was seeing her best friend Rachel and Darcy stopped talking to Rachel. They showed a fast forward 2 months when Rachel ran into Darcy and it was mad awkward.

So, if you're like the Darcy character, here's what you learned:
  • "My ugly best friend can have my leftovers and wash the shirts that I bought for him. His parents liked me more anyway. I'll just get knocked up by some wierdo and be happy because love SEX makes me happy." (^_o?)

Or from the viewpoint of Rachel
  • "I want your leftovers. I had a guy who liked me but I want your man more. I have to lie about having sex with other guys to make your fiance jealous enough to leave you for me." (??)
and Dex:
  • "I'm the man" -_-
If my summary seemed STUPID
its because the movie was STOOOOPID (>_<)

One line that stood out in the movie was "They said people who were friends as little kids don't grow up to be friends"
  • So my question is...
    • Is it true that childhood best friends usually grow up not being friends? Is it ok to date your best friends' ex/ fiance/ boyfriend/ crush? Could you be friends again with a girl who stole your man?

I would like to end with a math joke for the mathematically challenged:
Why is six afraid of seven?
I don't know! Why is six afraid of seven?
Because seven ate nine. (7,8,9. Get it?)

If you don't get THAT joke, i suggest you go back to 3rd grade.
